· Very old variety – discovered in the 1800s in Wisconsin
· Fruit weighs up to a pound each!
· Perfect for pies and apple sauce!
· Harvest Time is Late September
· 12’ T x 12’ W Space trees twelve to fifteen feet apart
· Considered an “Antique” variety. Wolf River has very good disease resistance
· Slower to develop – will take three to four years to bear fruit
· Highly recommended to have a cross pollinator for better fruit production
· Full Sun, open field production is best; sandy loamy soil
