Japanese Maple Red Dragon

· Graceful small upright tree with thin lacey leaves start as purple in the spring and turns to bright apple red in the fall


· 3’ high by 5’wide; smaller than other maples


· Japanese Maple Red Dragon grows best in moist, well-draining sandy loam soil in full sun to partial shade. Fall color more brilliant in sun


· Good to mulch roots avoid trunk; water in roots well for first 2 years; plant shallow; and protect from strong wind
